Born and Raised in Amarillo.
Strata Coffee Bar was started by two brothers — Amarillo natives, born and raised right here in the Texas Panhandle. They built Strata out of a simple belief: this city deserves truly great coffee. Not coffee poured out of a bag from a warehouse — coffee that's thought about, sourced carefully, and roasted fresh right here in Amarillo.
We're planted in the Medical District, and we've built Strata to serve the hardworking people who keep that community running — doctors, nurses, students, office workers, and neighbors — everyone who needs a dependable cup made with real care.
What Makes Strata Different
In-House Micro Roastery
We roast our own beans right inside the shop. Ty puts an extraordinary amount of time and care into every roast — you should see it. He's probably back there right now roasting a batch.
Carefully Sourced Beans
We only buy high-grade green coffee beans from the most upstanding farmers and distributors around the world. We research and put thought into every 100lb bag.
Balanced Mineral Water
Great coffee isn't just about the bean — water matters. We use mineral-balanced water to bring out the best in every cup.

Our team cares about what they make. From a simple drip to an elaborate latte, we take pride in getting it right every time.

Our shop is open, airy, and welcoming — high ceilings, warm wood, and enough space to spread out or catch up with a friend. We've got a drive thru too, so if you're in a hurry, we've got you.

Serious coffee lovers know the most important ingredient in great coffee is the water. After extensive research and experimentation, we found the ideal balance of minerals and filtration to bring out clarity and sweetness in every cup — and in every sip straight from the bottle.
Bottled right here at the shop: reverse osmosis filtered, UV light treated, carbon filtered, and select minerals added back in. Take a bottle with you.

We sell our freshly roasted beans in 12oz glass jars. Keep the jar for something else — or bring it back and we'll give you $1 off your refill. Light, dark, and everything in between. Ask your barista which roasts are available.
